What separates a 14-year floor from a 14-month floor isn’t the topcoat color or the flake brand. It’s prep, chemistry, and order. Every Signature install starts with diamond-grinding the slab to a CSP-2 mechanical profile, never an acid wash. We follow with a 100% solids epoxy moisture shield that bonds directly into the freshly opened concrete, then full-saturation flake broadcast, then a leveled surface lock, then a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. The result is a single bonded system, not five separate coats waiting to come apart.

The system, layer by layer.
Top-down: armor seal, surface lock, structural flake matrix, epoxy moisture shield, foundation lock. Each layer chosen for a specific job.
Armor Seal
UV-stable aliphatic polyaspartic. Won’t yellow or amber in Florida sun. Chemical-resistant against oil, fuel, brake fluid, pool chemicals. Locks the entire system together.
Surface Lock
After the flake broadcast cures, we scrape and level the surface to remove sharp edges. This ensures a clean bonding plane for the topcoat and a smooth foot-feel underfoot.
Structural Flake Matrix
Full-saturation ¼” vinyl flake broadcast, not partial coverage. Adds visual depth, slip resistance, and physical thickness. We sweep up the excess and reuse none.
Epoxy Moisture Shield
100% solids pigmented epoxy. Bonds directly into the diamond-ground slab and acts as a vapor barrier holding back 3-6 lbs of hydrostatic pressure from the concrete below.
Foundation Lock
Diamond-grind to a CSP-2 mechanical profile on bare concrete. Removes contaminants, opens the pores, creates the mechanical bond every subsequent layer depends on.

Arrive & protect
Furniture pads, baseboard tape, plastic sheeting on adjacent surfaces. We bring everything. You don’t move anything.
Diamond grind
Mechanical CSP-2 prep. Existing coatings removed. Pores opened. Contaminants vacuumed away.
Moisture shield
100% solids epoxy poured, back-rolled, allowed to set. This becomes the bond bed.
Flake broadcast
Full-saturation flake thrown to the ceiling. Excess swept and bagged.
Surface lock + topcoat
Scrape, level, polyaspartic poured. Done.
Walkable
Foot traffic only. No furniture moves yet.
Drivable
Park vehicles. Resume normal use. Floor is cured.
