Urethane Cement.
The toughest floor Epoxy Guys install, thermal-shock-proof, chemical-resistant urethane-cement systems for the hottest, harshest food-processing and industrial environments across Southwest Florida.
Urethane cement flooring, also called urethane mortar, is the heaviest-duty floor system we install, built for environments that destroy epoxy: commercial kitchens with steam and thermal shock, food and beverage processing with caustic washdown, freezers, breweries, and industrial areas with aggressive chemistry and heavy impact. Where a 100% solids epoxy is the right answer for most floors, urethane cement is the right answer when heat, thermal cycling, and harsh chemistry would crack or undermine epoxy. Epoxy Guys build it to spec on the same diamond-ground prep foundation that backs every system.
Urethane cement is a thick, dense, mineral-filled system installed as a trowel or screed-applied mortar, not a thin coating. It expands and contracts at nearly the same rate as concrete, which is why thermal shock, a 200°F steam-clean or a dropped vat of hot liquid on a cold floor, does not spider it the way it cracks epoxy. It resists organic and inorganic acids, sustained heat, and heavy impact, and it is built seamless with integral cove base for sanitary food and beverage environments. The trade-off is cost and a heavier install; the payoff is the only system that survives the harshest food-processing and industrial floors long-term.
Urethane cement is the right call for food and beverage processing, commercial kitchens with steam and thermal cycling, breweries and wet production, freezers and blast chillers, and heavy industrial areas with aggressive chemical and thermal exposure. We install and phase urethane-cement systems around production to keep the operation running across Naples, Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, Estero, Cape Coral, and the surrounding Collier and Lee County markets. Every project includes an on-site evaluation, a thermal-and-chemical-matched spec, written scope, phased scheduling, and the same lifetime adhesion warranty. Request a quote or call (239) 300-0546.
Why urethane cement survives.
It is the system that holds where epoxy thermally cracks and chemically fails.
- Thermal-shock proof. Expands and contracts with the concrete, so steam-clean and hot-spill thermal shock does not spider it the way it cracks epoxy.
- Aggressive-chemical resistant. Holds against organic and inorganic acids, caustics, and process chemistry that break epoxy down.
- Heavy-impact tolerant. A thick mineral-filled mortar, not a thin film, takes dropped equipment and forklift abuse.
- Sanitary and seamless. Built monolithic with integral cove base for food and beverage sanitation requirements.
- Heat sustained, not just spiked. Handles sustained elevated temperatures, not just momentary contact, ovens, fryer lines, processing heat.
- Bonded for life. Diamond-ground CSP-2 prep and a system engineered to the environment, real lifetime adhesion warranty.
Where urethane cement fits.
The hottest, harshest floors where epoxy will not survive.
Food & Beverage Processing
Caustic washdown, thermal cycling, and sanitation requirements that destroy lesser systems.
Hot Kitchen Lines
Steam, fryer heat, and dropped-stockpot thermal shock on the most punishing kitchen floors.
Breweries & Wet Production
Constant water, organic acids, sugars, and washdown in production environments.
Freezers & Blast Chillers
Extreme cold and freeze-thaw cycling that needs a thermally matched system.
Heavy Industrial
Aggressive chemistry plus heavy impact where epoxy fails on both fronts.
Processing Washdown Areas
High-temperature, high-chemical washdown zones with sanitary and slip requirements.
How a urethane-cement install runs.
A trowel-applied mortar system, phased around production. Prep and detailing are critical.
On-site evaluation
Thermal, chemical, impact, and sanitary requirement assessment plus slab moisture test. Engineered spec, written scope.
Phased schedule
Sequenced in zones around production and washdown so the operation keeps running.
Diamond grinding
Aggressive mechanical CSP-2-plus profile, urethane cement demands an exacting bond surface.
Cove base & detailing
Integral cove base, drains, slopes, and expansion joints built into the system for sanitation.
Urethane-cement screed
Thick mineral-filled urethane mortar trowel or screed applied to the engineered thickness.
Seal & cure
Chemical-resistant seal coat matched to the exposure. Phased return to production service.
Urethane cement quotes.
Every quote is fixed to your slab condition and square footage. Your written quote breaks the system down line by line.
| Scope | Notes |
|---|---|
| Standard Urethane Cement | Trowel-applied urethane mortar, integral cove base, chemical-resistant seal. Food-processing and kitchen spec. |
| Heavy-Duty / High-Temp | Increased thickness for extreme thermal and impact, specialty chemical seal, full sanitary detailing. |
| Phasing / Remediation Add | Off-hours phasing, severe slab remediation, or moisture mitigation. |
Heavy-duty floors we’ve installed.
Impact- and chemical-resistant floor systems for kitchens, plants, and processing areas across Southwest Florida.

Built into the slab, not laid on top of it. Every one of these installs runs through the same Epoxy Guys prep sequence we have used since 2012.
