Metallic & Artisan.

High-gloss metallic pours, custom decorative work, and full artisan systems from Epoxy Guys, built for showrooms, dealerships, retail floors, designer interiors, and any space where the floor itself needs to be the room.

Metallic and artisan floors are where epoxy stops being a coating and starts being a finished material. Every install Epoxy Guys run here is custom, color-matched on-site to your sample or vehicle, hand-troweled or pour-worked depending on the effect, and finished with a high-gloss UV-stable topcoat. The result is a floor with depth, movement, and reflectivity that earns the kind of attention you usually pay an artist for.

Three families of work live here. Metallic pours are multi-pigment epoxy poured wet-on-wet, worked with brushes and air, and sealed under polyaspartic. The pigments separate and swirl during cure, creating one-of-a-kind movement no two floors share. Polished concrete is the bare slab brought to mirror finish through progressive diamond polishing, optionally dyed and densified to color. Artisan systems are everything else, decorative quartz aggregates, hand-troweled cement microtoppings, custom embedded materials, scored patterns, vehicle-paint matches, brand-color floors.

We install metallic and artisan work in residential foyers, custom garages, retail showrooms, dealerships, restaurants, boutiques, and hospitality interiors across Southwest Florida. Every project includes a design consultation, physical sample mockup before install, and the same lifetime adhesion warranty as our flagship Signature system. Decorative Families

The system, layer by layer.

Three approaches. Different chemistry, different price tier, different finished look.

01

Metallic Pours

Multi-pigment epoxy poured and worked while wet. The pigments separate during cure, creating swirled, marbled, river-like movement. Sealed under high-gloss UV-stable polyaspartic.

02

Polished Concrete

Bare slab densified, ground through progressive diamond grits to mirror finish. Optionally dyed or stained for color. The most architectural option, the floor reads as concrete, not as a coating.

03

Full Artisan

Hand-troweled microtoppings, decorative aggregates, vehicle-paint-match floors, brand-color showroom installs, custom embedded materials (logos, score lines, mosaic). Custom by definition.

Best Fit

Where this system fits.

Where decorative work earns its premium.

01Application

Showrooms & Dealerships

Automotive showrooms, marine dealers, motorcycle and exotic dealerships. The floor is part of the merchandising.

02Application

Retail & Boutique

Brand-color floors, high-gloss reflective surfaces, custom artisan finishes that distinguish the space.

03Application

Hospitality

Restaurants, hotels, event venues. Polished concrete and metallic floors that survive heavy daily traffic while looking finished.

04Application

High-End Residential

Foyers, kitchens, great rooms, dedicated workshop and gym spaces in custom homes. Metallic floors that complement custom millwork.

05Application

Custom & Collector Garages

Where the Signature flake system isn’t the look. Metallic or polished concrete for collectors who want gallery, not garage.

06Application

Showpiece Interiors

Anywhere the floor needs to be photographed.

The Decorative Install Process

How an install runs.

Longer than flake garages. The trade-off for one-of-a-kind finished work.

Day 0

Design consultation

On-site visit. We bring physical sample boards. We agree on pigments, base color, accent colors, and intended movement. Sketch in writing.

Day 1

Mechanical prep

Diamond grind to CSP-2 or higher depending on finish. Polished concrete prep is more aggressive than coating prep.

Day 2

Base coat

100% solids epoxy base. Pigmented to your selected ground color. Bonded into the slab.

Day 3

Decorative pour or polish

Metallic: multi-pigment wet-on-wet pour, worked with brushes and air. Polish: progressive diamond grits to selected finish level.

Day 4

Topcoat

UV-stable polyaspartic for metallic. Densifier and sealer for polished concrete.

Day 5+

Cure & walkthrough

Foot traffic at 24 hours. Furniture and vehicles after full cure. Walkthrough and warranty handover.

Pricing

Ranges by scope.

Every quote is custom. Your written quote breaks down the base system plus each upgrade.

Common questions

Questions we hear a lot.

The ones that come up most often on quotes. Ask us anything else.

How is metallic different from flake?
Flake is solid vinyl chips broadcast into wet epoxy, the look is structural, slip-resistant, granular. Metallic is liquid pigment swirled in wet epoxy, the look is high-gloss, reflective, with depth and movement. Different chemistry, different finish, different price tier.
Can I see what my floor will look like before install?
Yes. We bring physical sample boards in your selected pigments to the design consultation. For larger artisan projects we can pour an on-site sample plate before the full install at extra cost. Custom metallic is unpredictable by design, the sample shows the family of look, not the exact pour.
Will metallic floors get scratched?
Like any high-gloss floor, fine scratches are visible up close over time. Daily traffic with chair caps and clean shoes ages it slowly. We can buff and re-topcoat at 7-10 years if the surface needs a refresh. The decorative work underneath is permanent.
Are polished concrete and metallic the same thing?
No. Polished concrete is the bare slab itself ground and densified to mirror finish, no epoxy at all in the finished product. Metallic is an epoxy-and-pigment system poured over a prepared base. Different processes, different chemistry, different look. Some clients want one, some want the other, some get both in the same building.
Can you match my vehicle’s paint color?
Yes. Bring the paint code or the vehicle to a sampling appointment and we’ll match the pigment. Vehicle-paint-match floors are popular for collector garages and dealership showroom bays.
How slippery are metallic floors?
High-gloss is reflective and feels slick to the eye but the polyaspartic topcoat has a textured surface that’s slip-rated for residential use. For wet commercial applications (restaurant kitchens, pool decks) we add an anti-slip aggregate broadcast.
How long does the warranty cover?
The same real lifetime adhesion warranty Epoxy Guys put behind every other system we install. Bond failure is covered for as long as you own the building. Cosmetic surface wear (fine scratches, gloss reduction) isn’t covered, that’s consumable across every coating system on the market.
